That's The Beat

This is going to be a short post, because I did promise trance part 2 would be coming soon and this is not trance part 2. Just a random sampling of some really good songs I've picked up in the last couple of days that I thought I'd get out there.

Also, if anyone knows why a lot of my posts keep disappearing, let me know.

My genre of the day: Dubstep

What you need to be listening to:

In For The Kill (Louis Philippe DnB Mix) - La Roux
This is actually a re-fix of the Skream (pic above; he's the Croydon boy wonder who made that It's Not Over Yet remix that I never got around to posting) Let's Get Ravey remix. Takes the deep bass and adds a drum 'n' bass beat and a spacey arp at the end for some energy. Listen with some good headphones.

Your Love - Rob Threezy
This tune starts out a bit slow but kicks in with the housey piano and a bit of a ghettotech beat a minute in. Sounds a bit like Crookers without their wobbly basslines. No streaming anywhere to be found unfortunately, but check it out and give it a listen.

Broken (Demo) - Gorillaz
One of the three demos that could make it onto the next album. Pretty hard to explain, it has a rolling bass and organ bit. Hear it for yourself.

NEXT POST: Trance part 2?
