Live The Fast Life
Life in the fast lane. Enough said.
What you need to be listening to:
Bonkers (Club Mix) - Dizzee Rascal & Armand Van Helden
After collabing with Calvin Harris on Dance Wiv Me, Dizzee's back with New York's own AvH (above on the left with A-Trak). Definitely full of Armand's gritty, unique house sound, it's a bassy track.

No More - Boaz
Soul sampling with a tight beat and some good word work (now it's the rap era, era rap era) + that 70's soul feel in a hip hop track. The download link is up because it was actually available for free on iTunes. Go figure.

Swag Surfin' - Fast Life Yungstaz
Monster club smash and huge in ATL.
NEXT POST: Some tight up and coming hip-hop.
Labels:
armand van helden,

All Around The World
Even more Villains this time around, it seems like you can't check out a music blog without running into a new, great remix from them. This post has some of the real highlights of my latest blog crawl (holler at NME and Buzz en Direkt). Also included, one of the best songs from Phoenix lately; namely the one they put out for free in advance of their record in late march. Enjoy.
My genre of the day: Villains Remixes
What you need to be listening to:
Little Bit (Villains Remix) - Lykke Li
To anyone keeping track, it's obvious I'm a sucker for the original Little Bit and all its remixes. Villains put its signature touches on the song with a tight bassline.

Boom Boom Pow (Boys Noize Remix) - Black Eyed Peas feat. 50 Cent & Ciroc Obama
At first, I wasn't sure how I felt about this track, especially because I wasn't the biggest fan of the original. The grittiness of it has grown on me though, and 50's flow is a sharp addition. The download doesn't have the Youtube's shout outs.

Quicksand (Joe and Will Ask? Remix) - La Roux
Another stand-up La Roux remix following in the tracks of Skream, Hostage, etc. Adds some good melodic, electro energy to make it flow better than the original.

And now for some Phoenix:
1901 - Phoenix
NEXT POST: Coming super soon. New Dizzee Rascal, for sure and some new hip-hop fire.
